Using Tarot or Oracle Cards?

Tarot or Oracle Cards

If you are new to using cards, you might wonder if you should use tarot cards or oracle cards. You might wonder if there is a real difference and which ones are best for you.

Tarot cards will use their intuition to figure out what cards to use and there is a difference between tarot cards and oracle cards.

Oracle Cards

Oracle cards are cards that are used to talk to the divine to get answers. This is a word that comes from Greek and Roman roots and is used in mythology. People would use these cards in order to find out what would happen in the future.

Tarot Cards

Tarot cards are 78 cards in all with there being 22 of the Major Arcana and 56 in the Minor Arcana. This is divided into suits and there are 10 court cards in each. Even some of the modern decks will add some of the random cards but this is just extra.

The tarot cards are similar to a regular deck with a Queen, King, Jack and Ace cards and they are divided into wands, swords, cups and pentacles instead of hearts, spades, diamonds and such.

Oracle Deck

The oracle deck is one that has no et way of doing it. There are different amounts of cards and they have different quotes on them. They are used to give you answers that are positive. When you read them, you will be inspired by things such as astrology and planets. The oracle deck has no suits or structure and there are no real rules.

Which to Use?

Whatever cards you use will happen based on your intuition. Shuffle the cards of each deck and see how you feel. Tarot cards are ordered and logical and sometimes people have to really dig for the meanings. They take practice and time to figure out the ideas behind them.

People that want to get answers to questions right away will often use the tarot cards, but this comes from learning and from figuring out what the cards mean. Sometimes you have to use your own reflection to answer the questions.

Tarots structure allows you to have a real experience with the cards and learn about yourself from inside and out. It allows you to find out what you feel and what you believe.

You can get answers form oracle decks but you have to take time to figure out what the answers are and where they come from.

Use Both!

The best thing to do is to use both the oracle and the tarot cards. Since they are both different and the tarot cards are full of answers, you can do spreads and readings and figure out what the cards mean for you and then you can come back and do the same reading with the oracle cards and see how they fit together.

This is a way that you can practice and find out how you can make an impact on your life and the life of others. Figure out what message you are trying to portray and do it!
