Clearing Your Throat Chakra

Throat Chakra

Do you find that you are having a hard time telling the truth or telling others what you are thinking or feeling? Do you feel scared to communicate with others? If any of this is true, chances are that your throat chakra is blocked. There are things that you can do to unblock your throat chakra and to learn to express yourself better.

Blue

Find things that are blue because blue works with the throat chakra to make it stronger. Wear something blue or keep blue jewelry on your body. Using blue can be soothing for your life and you can also use it to keep your throat chakra strong.

Sing

Take time to sing and to let your voice come out. You don’t have to sound great just give it all you can. You can use your own voice to read something or to sing but just let your voice come out and do its own thing.

Exercises

There are different neck exercises that you can do that can open up your throat chakra. Try to sit straight and then let your chin touch your chest. Do this slowly and then lift your head up.

Hold your ear close to your shoulder and then do the other side. Do each exercise for about a minute. Keep doing it until you feel relaxed, and you feel that you have no pain in your body.

Positive Affirmations

One great way to open up your throat chakra is to do positive affirmations. You can do these no matter what time it is or where you are.

All you have to do is repeat something positive over and over again. Do this while you are taking a bath or while you are driving in your car.  You can make up your own or here are some ones you can say:

  • I am focused.
  • I am true to who I am.
  • I can express myself easily.
  • When I speak, I have powerful words.
  • I have a strong and unique voice.
  • My feelings are valid.

Journaling

Another great thing that you can do to keep your throat chakra open is to journal. Write each day in your journal about what you are feeling. Take about half an hour to write and say anything that you are feeling. Do not worry about spelling everything right or doing it all right but just connect with who you are.  You can ask yourself these things:

  • What are my fears?
  • Have my fears changed over time?
  • What is causing me to feel stress?
  • Do I feel sad?
  • What emotions am I feeling right now?

Lion’s Breath

The Lion’s breath is an exercise that can help to get rid of stress out of your body. You need to sit down and make sure that your head and your torso are lined up. Take in a deep breath through your nose and then stick out your tongue as you let your breath out. Let out a roar while you are doing this.

As you do this, imagine that you are no longer stressed and make sure that you are being silly and having fun along the way.

Blue Crystals

There are blue crystals that you can use when you meditate, and they can help you to relax and have better energy. You can use them to open up your throat chakra and to be stronger.

These stones such as the blue turquoise can help you to open up your throat area, can help you to communicate when you are struggling for this, and it can help you to feel warm and cared for.

Healing Vibrations

You can do some chanting using the word “ham” which is located in the throat chakra area. This is a one syllable sound that you can do to heal your chakra. As you say this syllable, change the way that you say it and say it over and over again.

Do this as much as you like, and this is called a mantra or a sound tool that will help you by giving you more energy.

Yoga

Find some yoga poses that help to open up your throat chakra. You can do the one where your legs go against the wall, and you are face down on the mat and then you lift your legs straight and then rest them against the wall. Relax and breathe as you do this.

Here are some other poses you can do:

  • Fish Pose
  • Cat and Cow Pose
  • Plow Pose

Aromatherapy

There are different essential oils that you can use to build up your mind, body, and soul. You can put these in a diffuser, or you can even put them in your bath or wear them on your skin. Find out which ones are good for your body and always make sure that they are diluted if you put them on your body.

Here are some of the best ones for the throat chakra:

  • Geranium
  • Jasmine
  • Sage
  • Frankincense
  • Peppermint
  • Clove

Meditating

Find a quiet place where you will not be distracted and close your eyes and deep breathe. Concentrate on your breathing and center your mind. Let your body be filled with a light and imagine the light filling your whole being.

Think about how you are opening up your throat chakra and communicating your feelings. As you take deep breaths, keep imagining the light. Do this everyday for at least half an hour.

  1. It’s fascinating how various techniques like yoga, positive affirmations, and even specific colors can influence our energy centers. I’ve personally found meditation to be immensely beneficial, and I’m eager to incorporate some of these throat chakra exercises. Thanks for sharing such a comprehensive guide!

  2. Seriously? Blue crystals and singing to unblock energy centers? This sounds more like pseudoscience than anything grounded in reality. I wish these articles provided more evidence-based solutions.

  3. Don’t forget to wear your blue pajamas and chant ‘ham’ before bed! Who knew that curing communication troubles could be so… colorful and melodic? This article is unintentionally hilarious.

  4. Oh, so now just by wearing blue and roaring like a lion, I’m supposed to become an eloquent speaker? Brilliant! Next, I’ll be howling at the moon for better sleep. #Sarcasm

  5. While I appreciate the intention behind this article, I must argue that simply doing exercises or wearing blue isn’t going to solve deep-seated communication issues. It might work for some, but therapy and self-reflection are far more effective approaches.
